Learning becomes real when life becomes the classroom

5 days of Micro Experiences

in Andalusia

A five-day Erasmus+ Residential Training Course that turns real places into learning spaces: beyond walls, beyond screens, and always grounded in human experience.

From teacher to teacher

You already know this:
learning feels different when it becomes real.

When students move.

When they notice details.

When they interact with people.

When learning steps outside the classroom and outside the screen.

This course is built around that simple idea:
Learning works better when it connects with real life.

What happens during the 5 days

Coastal landscape in Andalusia

How the experience unfolds over five days in Andalusia:
Places, people and moments become learning spaces.

Set in Torre del Mar on the Costa del Sol, Cortijo Laguna Chico is a traditional Andalusian beachfront house with direct access to the sea, lush gardens and a pool just steps from the shore.

The place has room for groups and shared living, with spacious common areas, kitchen and outdoor spaces that naturally invite gathering, conversation and reflection.

Surrounded by the rhythm of daily life, sea breezes and mountain views, it's the perfect base where learning, community and the landscape become one.

Land in the place — and in yourself.

You arrive, slow down and gently connect with the environment. The day is designed to help you land — in the place, in the group and in yourself.

Slow exploration of local streets and plazas and coastline opens your senses: light, rhythm, textures, small stories that usually go unnoticed.

You learn methods for observing, noticing patterns and "seeing like a learner", that reconnect you with the world as a living classroom — the starting point for all Micro Experiences in the course.

Turn everyday life into learning material. This day expands your field of attention.

You explore the environment with intention and curiosity, discovering how learning emerges from textures, movements and micro-experiences in the environment.

You collect inspiration ("seeds") that will later become the raw material for your own Micro Experience design. You interact with people, discover learning opportunities in everyday places and collect inspiration for your own teaching.

Design it. Try it. Feel it work.

A simple, visual and intuitive method guides you step by step through the process of turning your observations into a clear Micro Experience.

No theory blocks. No pressure. You build something real through creativity and reflection.

By the end of the day, you test your first version in the environment — an energising moment of seeing your idea come alive.

Make it work back home — immediately.

This day bridges the gap between the Andalusian environment and your school reality.

In small groups, we adapt your Micro Experience so it can work:
Check indoors
Check outdoors
Check in different subjects
Check with different age groups
Check with limited time and resources

Together we create versions for your classroom, schoolyard or subject area, so you can apply the method the very next day.

Close the week with light, clarity, and a tool you'll use.

A calm closing moment.

You test your final version, share your learning, and connect the experience with your long-term teaching vision.

This is where the week's arc becomes clear: what shifted in your attention, your creativity, your practice — and what you will take back into your classroom and your life as an educator.

The nature of the course

A practical, human-centred training where you learn to design short, meaningful learning moments; what we call Micro Experiences.

They are simple, but powerful learning impulses that come from everyday places:

streets, markets, coastline, local rhythms, small encounters, daily movements.

Imagine a 15-minute walk where your students observe patterns of light, speak to one local person, and create a tiny story from what they notice.

No theory overload.

No technical jargon.

WHY TESORO

Tesoro was created by Lasse Weissmann: teacher, father and explorer of learning in real places.

This project grew from a simple but urgent need: to bring learning back to the body, back to the street, back to nature, and back to the everyday world learners already inhabit.

Inspired by Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences, Tesoro keeps experiential learning simple and deliberately practical.

The method is:

Check
simple
Check
human
Check
practical
Check
universal

It is designed for educators of any subject and age group, without complexity or theoretical overload.
At Tesoro Andaluz, learning naturally moves beyond walls and screens.
Light, rhythm, coastline and people become part of the learning process.
Just real learning, in real places.
